Guardians of the Galaxy or Ratchet and Clank?

Now that might seem like a strange thing to compare Guardians of the Galaxy to, but all I’m thinking of are the weapons.

Let me explain.

Last night, we rewatched Guardians. And loved it just as much as we did when we saw it in the theater. But, while we were watching it, we started discussing how much the weapons reminded us of those in Ratchet and Clank. By the end of the movie, we were amped up to toss in one of their games and start destroying stuff.

If you think we’ve completely lost it, here are a couple comparisons for you:

The Hadron Enforcer (completely locked and loaded):

Personally, I would take the weapons from Ratchet over those from Guardians. Why? That’s easy. Have you seen some of them? You can use a weapon like the Quack-O-Blitzer to turn your enemies into ducks or use the Lava Gun to, well, shoot lava.

Besides, every time you destroy something, you get bolts – obviously, the best form of currency there is.

I know this isn’t a completely fair comparison, since Ratchet has a lot more weapons to choose from, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be more in upcoming sequels to Guardians. Which will undoubtedly lead to more creative weapons.

But either way, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed both and, I must admit, I’m looking forward to the sequel to Guardians and to the next Ratchet and Clank game, whenever that may be. Because according to PlayStation, it’ll be sometime in 2015. (So, hurry up! We’re already in March!)
